Stephen Skelton(Born August 6, 1989, in El Paso, Texas) is an American Football tight end who is currently a member of the Arizona Cardinals. He went undrafted in the 2011 NFL Draft, but was signed by the Arizona Cardinals shortly there after.

College career

Skelton Attended Fordham University, where he played football for the Fordham Rams. In his freshman year he played at Tight End and Special Teams. In his sophomore year he caught 22 passes for 236 yards (10.7 yards per reception) and his first touchdown. In his junior year he finished his season with 63 receptions for 634 yards (10.1 yards per reception) with 6 touchdown catches from his brother John Skelton. In his senior year he has 42 receptions for 443 yard (10.5 yards per reception) reaching the end zone 3 times. Over the course of his collegiate career, Skelton recorded 127 receptions for 1,313 yards and ten touchdowns, all career-highs for a Fordham tight end. He is seventh on the school’s all-time receptions list and tied for eighth in career touchdown receptions. [1]

Professional career

On July 27, 2011, the Arizona Cardinals signed Skelton. He was waived on September 2. Skelton was resigned to the practice squad on November 16, 2011.

Personal life

Skelton currently lives in El Paso, close to his family. His Brother John Skelton, a Quarterback, is also a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
